State Income Tax Data Sources
Official government and legislative sources used for the 2026 all 50 states income tax calculator.
The citations below support the All 50-States Income Tax Rates Table and its comparison calculator. Each jurisdiction identifies the tax years represented, its current source status, the date it was last checked, and the official materials used for the calculation. We use current-year information when it is available. When a state has not published every current-year amount, the calculator may rely on official estimated-tax or payroll-withholding guidance, or combine current-year rates and brackets with unprojected prior-year deductions, exemptions, or credits. The applicable years and source status are shown with each jurisdiction.
